Rainbow Canes

*Sample shows items made using rainbow canes.

Materials:

1 pound of white premo clay *pre-work required with this material

8 oz of black premo clay (Required)

6 oz of red premo clay

6 oz of blue premo clay

6 oz of orange premo clay

6 oz of green premo clay

Of the 6 oz quantities, any color preference is acceptable

*Pre-work: The 1 pound of white premo clay required for class, students must pre-condition 7-10 pieces in approx. size of 4×4 1/2 inch rectangles.

Tools:

Some tools will be available for classroom use, but students may choose to bring their own.  Please label personal items to avoid confusion in the classroom.

Cutting blade

Piercing tool, and/or shaping tools

Pasta machine

Clay roller

In this class students will make 2 different configurations of cane using the variety of colors.  Students will learn the technique of how to make the rainbow cane, which can be used for a variety of different projects such as ones shown in the sample picture.  This class is limited to 4 students, so call today to reserve your space!
