21, 22, 0r 24 ga square wire sterling silver (21 or 22 if usind a heavy cabochon or one with a high dome) 5ft
20 ga, 21 ga, 22ga, half round wire sterling silver 2 ft
Cabochon, a larger stone will be easier for beginners, stone need not have a hole

An essential technique in wire working is wrapping a cabochon. Any stone, lampwork glass, polymer or other medium object can be a cabochon. Students will learn the basics for wrapping and making a basic bail to transform their chosen cabochon into a beautiful piece of jewelry!
