Materials:
20 or 21 gauge round wire, several feet of both practice wire and work wire. Students may choose sterling silver or gold filled for their work wire.
Various beads that will fit on the wire, as desired to complete earrings

In this class, students will learn how to make a variety of ear wires and head pins. Head pins are essential to earring construction. Also students will learn how to create  earrings in all styles including plain, fancy, posts, ear cuffs, threaders and ear wires that are part of the earring design, a truly unique flair!

Wire Techniques 2

Materials:
Practice wire: 20,21, or 22 gauge square, round and half round
24, 26, or 28 round
examples of material: tinned copper, copper, brass. *Note: Sterling Silver or Gold is not recommended for practice*
To make bangle, students will need:
approx. 3 feet- 21 gauge square wire, 1/2 hard or soft
approx. 12 inches- 20  gauge 1/2 round wire , 1/2 hard or soft

Tools:
*Note* Students are encourage to bring tools they have, and may share classroom tools as availability permits.
Round nose pliers
Chain nose pliers
Flat nose pliers
Any additional wire working tools, students may choose to bring these

Cost: $25 plus materials

Level: Intermediate. Prerequisite for this class is Basic Wire Techniques 1, or at least 3 months wire working experience. Students need to be proficient in making eye loops, wrapped loops, spirals, and figure eight’s before attending this course.

Materials:

2-4 pearls, beads, or crystals, any size from 6mm to 14mm
2 earring findings, of choice
Project wire: 20 gauge round, 2 or 24 gauge round (if using pearls) *make sure the wire is the correct size to fit the hole of your chosen bead or pearl*

2- 10 or 12 mm beads

1- 20 mm bead

4 mm cub beads

6/0 seed beads in 2 colors

Bugle beads

11/0 seed beads

28 gauge wire, can be craft wire in a color to match beads

various assorted beads as desired to add style to student’s individual mermaid!
